This dwarf iris is registered as white with a blue beard.

Sue, it was a gift from Aitken's Salmon Creek Nursery and that was the name that was on it. I didn't ever go back into their website, to check, as they are the hybridizers, I just assumed it was the right one.

So I checked their web page this morning and sure enough, the white one shows as Autumn Surge. Mine does look kind of like Fire Coral on their page, but it isn't nearly as brightly colored as the one that is in out data base so perhaps they need to be moved to the general iris category.

I went back and found my receipt this morning and I had assumed it was a gift because I knew I didn't buy anything that color but found that I had purchased Autumn Surge. Thanks for the heads up that I had received the wrong iris.

Maybe send them the photos and see if they can ID it, would be nice to put in the right entry. It might have been growing right next to Autumn Surge.

I did send them a message this morning, so I'll wait to hear back from them. It is the only iris in that area so I don't think that is the confusion.

Sue, I sent the pictures to Aiken's and they responded that it is Amber Eyes, so I will request it be moved.

I was pleasantly surprised when Barbara answered so quickly. But Aiken's have always been very good to work with, and will send Autumn Surge next year. Thanks again for catching the mix up, I don't know when I would have figured it out.
