omg! and sunflower wallpaper, LED lights, and hidden caves!
I have some miniature bulls, but I don't envision them in a cypress tree by the sea Hilarious!
I was a little disappointed to see that Marylin and Elvis were only visiting but I am relieved to see that they can can continue to play everywhere and anywhere nodding

believe it or not--right now I am sitting in a hotel room in Vegas... for some brutally mind-numbing edumacation this week...but earlier today, while I was astounded at the odd mix of real and fake plant combinations, I was thinking how nice your orchids would be in and around the orchid lounge! Seriously!

//wish me luck--I'm really out of my 'elephant' here and I don't know how I am going to survive the rest of this adventure Sighing!

Hilarious! no china, but they are perched like little vultures across the top of a cabinet/book shelf that is populated with a bunch of other oddities in addition to the requisite books/binders

I am captive here and a mere cup of coffee is $5, so, aside from the cash I already threw away, not hitting it big on the slots, I think I'm gonna have to stay away from those things Rolling my eyes.

It's one of those big conventions for folks to rack up sufficient hours of CE (continuing education) to maintain licensure--the sad thing is that in order to receive a pittance of paid time to do this from my current employer, I must attend sessions that are much less interesting to me than many of the other concurrent sessions...oh well...off to 'class'

David, I have been following this tread and think that your creations are amazing. I have made several tin can flowers and have used aluminum beer and pop cans with the tin. But they are very plain. I would love to attempt one that is more colorful and fancier. Can you tell me besides pop and beer cans, what other type of aluminum cans do you use? Taller or wider? Thanks for your input.

Ive got a bee in my bonnet to make a heron out of them...mainly the feathers. I saw one at the garden shop, and loved it.

Jeanne, do you have pictures? David loves pictures :whistling:, as do we all, nodding

I actually just use regular drink cans Jeanne. I do love those huge Arizona tea type cans for large pieces though, and you could use aluminum roof flashing. Smiling

Pams right! I tip my hat to you.

I would love to see what you're doing with them! Thumbs up

Here are a few pictures of some of my tin can flowers. They were the first ones I made last winter and have not attempted them since but want to make more but fancier ones. I am not talented in delicate painting. These were spray painted and I don't think I let the paint dry good enough before I put on the 2nd coat. Some of the paint bubbled or wrinkled up. I am much better at making my glass flowers, sun catchers, and totems.

Jeanne - I think those are very nice. I need to start asking neighbors to save me cans so I can try some of the basic flowers.

I love the flowers Thumbs up Whats really cool is, the different kinda spin/style on things.

As Jean will attest, you give 10 different people the same 12 blocks of fabric to put together, and you will get a wonderful mix.
