Becky, you can get a 7lb. bag of Dynamite fert on Amazon for $29. Even paying shipping, it might be cheaper than buying it in those little shaker bottles.

Gita, that is quite an umbrella show!! I was wondering if you always leave it in that size pot?

I had one in a very nice ceramic pot and it got broken when it was blown over by some strong winds Angry
I really miss my brugs.

Hey, Becky.........I will have some epie leaves to share in the Spring. Just let me know..........and you know the drill..............it will be 3-4 years before they bloom......altho, being in Florida, it may be sooner for you. I send enough to start a 6" pot. I can let you know what I have extra leaves of. JT is the one who started me off in epies............I think I took those first leaves out of politeness when they were offered about 5 years ago...............then they bloomed and I was hooked. My brugs are on the floor and tables in the greenhouse, the epies are hanging from the rafters! Perfect symbiosis!!!

I got the NHDP from Mark Bailey..............he sells brugs on eBay and he has nice sized brugs.....they will be ready to ship soon, to Florida. I also have quite a few cuttings of it growing in my greenhouse.

Have any of the old timers checked in on the Dynamite........?? It would be nice to not have to fertilize as often!

Elaine - What I bought was Dynamite 887746 Flowers and Vegetables Plant Food, 2-Pound for $9.00. I would only get 1 lb. extra for that price. But with shipping, it would actually be more. I guess they get that high price because the product is supposed to last up to 9 months, which I guess in the long run is cheaper than buying other fertilizers that aren't slow-release. Less fertilizer = less money overall. Thanks for trying to help me out with the fertilizer issue. I appreciate it!

Brenda - I am definitely interested in any of your epi leaves. Just tree-mail me and let me know the details when the time comes. I love your symbiosis! I have my epis hanging from my large arbor/mini-pergola and next to it on both sides are brug trees growing! The perfect balance! LOL!

"Mark Bailey" - is that his seller name on ebay? Was he selling cuttings or whole plants. The postage to ship a plant might price me right out of that option. Unfortunately, I garden on a limited budget and re-purpose many items.

I have never heard of Dynamite, but it sounds great. I used to use a great 3 month slow release fertilizer I got at Lowes called Sta Green 3 month slow release, it was granulated and for me it worked wonderful. But I have not bought it in a year or two, have not looked for it. Have any of you ever used it, if so, does it compare to the Dynamite??

I have not heard of Sta Green, so I can not compare the results of using it. I know brugs are heavy feeders so they need constant feeding every time you water them. Dynamite is granulated fertilizer, also. I also add epsom salt to the water every so often so the leaves don't yellow.

How much Becky? I know that is magnesium, and very good for a lot of plants. I work about a teaspoon around each tomato plant every three weeks in the garden once they start growing. It does them a world of good.

A tablespoon or two is about what I use. I often just mix it in the watering can and pour it around the plant roots. This helps to keep too many leaves from turning yellow. A few leaves is normal, but I had a problem with a lot of the leaves turning yellow and dropping. The epsom salt cured that issue! Thumbs up

Good deal! I will also do that! I just work it in dry around my tomatoes.
