Can anyone identify this corkscrew type branching plant that came in a floral arrangement. I stuck it in water after the flowers died & forgot about it. Several weeks later leaves started to appear.

I'd start looking at willows, Salix. Weeping or corkscrew?

Try Red Curly Willow/Salix matsudana ; it is used in the floral trade. Some is imported, some grown in the US.

And congratulations for thinking fast to root the cuttings; good for you. Thumbs up

My first thought was one of the Corkscrew Willows too (Salix matsudana): http://garden.org/plants/searc...
