It is a warm day here and the bees are out in force. They are searching for pollen from any source and the brugs are one of the few things blooming.

It is good to see them hard at work and ALIVE. I am trying to use the Merphys Oil Soap instead for Chemicals to keep bugs at bay and bees alive. Good looking bloom too. Who is she? Thumbs up

The blooms are Jinny Lind., a brug related to the Energizer bunny. She just keeps going and going.

Just noticing that my blooms have a lot of bees these days. What a blessing. Really trying not to use chemicals these days if at all possible. The world needs our bees!!

Mine get swarmed by bees too. I had to treat my brugs last year for moth caterpillars. I really want to use something that won't kill the bees. Unfortunately, my trees (brugs) are quite tall so I can not spray them with Murphy's Oil Soap. Even when I had other nectar plants blooming, the bees still wanted to go to the brugs.

Any other suggestions?

I have no easy fix for that.I just don't spray while they are blooming and take whatever losses I get. For me the bees are more important than the brugs since our extra income comes from the bees.

Can you put the MOS in a hose end sprayer and ascend a ladder? That is what I do for my 10 footer brug.
