Daffodil tips showing in late December? in the Bulbs forum

Hi all,
I planted daffodil bulbs, a double flower type which I can't recall, in mid-November. Today while walking around the garden, I noticed very short tips had pushed their way up through the soil. Should I be concerned? the bed is already mulched, but should I cover them with some extra mulch?

I am in zone 7a and I see some daffodil cultivars starting by thanksgiving every year. They do not put blooms up until it warms up in the spring. The more mine are mulched the taller grow the leaves. I am not as knowledgable as others on here so maybe they will have advice for you.

I went out and looked at mine today, here they are, and it is predicted to turn really cold in a couple of days (cold for here, down in the thirties).
