Hi Plantsmylove,

Did you have a question about your purple heart plant or did you mean to post on another Forum rather than the Ask A Question Forum? Setcreasea pallida is a synonym for Tradescantia pallida and you can find information and photos here in our database: If you have a specific question I'm sure someone will be able to help. The Purple Heart Plant grows like a weed here in Florida and many folks use it as a groundcover; the flowers are so pretty.

Thumbs up Way to Go!
It's amazing sometimes what a little water can do! I had a friend who awhile back was pitching some plants in the trash and I asked her if I could take them. She said sure but asked what I was going to do with half-dead plants. Smiling She didn't think they could be saved but I removed the dead leaves and stems and gave them a little water and they perked back up and were fine!

I see just the opposite at stores here, especially the garden centers at Home Depot, Walmart and Lowes ... the plants always seem to be almost floating in water. Recently at a local Home Depot Garden Center I saw a bunch of African Violets sitting in about an inch of water. Sad
