Watering Your Strawberry Jars

Getting your strawberry jars established with the soil intact can be challenging. I have tried various methods, such as using some coir (coconut fiber) or sphagnum moss around the transplants to hold the soil in the ports. The best method I've found is to inset a watering pipe into the center of the container as follows:

That's a simple though great idea for watering those hard-to-water pots/plants.

I am going to try this. I have a large strawberry jar that I have trouble getting watered evenly. It always runs out the holes in the sidesThis should solve that problem!

Annette, You my be able to use some kind of spike to work a hole to the bottom, unless of coarse they need repotted.
