It is a gift to have formed very close friendships with members from ATP.
Each year those bonds strengthen, and some times we even get to have a gathering so we can meet in person. The amazing part is that we seem to have been friends forever when we meet the first time. Lovey dubby

That is a keeper Lynn. What to say. The kindness was apparent even then. I'm seeing a dash of childhood spunk in that face to. Ever have fun playing innocent pranks on Grandma or Grandpa, cousins or siblings? Smiling

Keep that one for a while Lynn. You should have been with Annette and the gang as a Mouseketeer when I was growing up. Of course then;...no one would have noticed Annette! I tip my hat to you. I tip my hat to you.

Smooth, David, verrrrry smooth! Thumbs up But I agree, Lynn's cute face.

Lynn, those kinds of friendships, friends as soon as you meet, friends that you feel you've known forever. . . well, I call them 'new old friends'. Smiling

The great community of friends here is probably our strongest aspect of ATP. We're grateful for all the great people here. It's an oasis of friendliness and happiness.

David, I was not a prankster when I was young, that came when I got older. Green Grin!
I spent most of my free time with animals, both tame and wild when I was growing up.
And I loved the Mouseketeers, I never missed an episode. MIC KEY MOUSE. And I loved Annette, she was so sweet and kind.
And the Jungle Book series. I wanted to go live in the jungle with Mowgli and all the animals.

Sharon, you are a very dear friend to me, you and Nap (Nancy) are the ones that helped me to open up and share some of my inner thoughts. I will love you forever for that. Group hug

Ahhhh, Lynn, it's that magic new old friend thing.

The truth is we just got you started and I just helped you with a word or two. It's when you came to ATP that the real fun began and then you became who you are supposed to be. ATP was the comfort zone you had reached, and here you found something you had never had before. The one thing you most needed in your life, I think. Smiling

I first joined "The Family" at DG the day after 9-11, I believe. Then on to Cubits and now ATP. It's been a wonderful journey...not just the plant related parts, but also the loving support and friendships formed. You all were so wonderful to me while Bill was sick and dying. And 3 short months later when I had to send D*O*G to Rainbow Bridge, lovemyhouse sent the vet a thank-you note for not only not charging me, but also for paying to have him creamated. And greene volunteering to come here from Savannah to dog and house sit when I go to see my daughter. This community is truely remarkable. I have learned so much....and hopefully at times been helpful to others. I condider it a privilage to be part of the wonderful ATP family because really that's what we are. And like Ginger, I have a story of a Cubits/ATP garden friend that came to the hospital in Salem, OR the day I almost lost Cliff. Kin (floraSeeker_OR), the first time we had met in person. He sat with me the entire time of the surgery, a young giant of a man with a very tender heart. I will never forget him and his kindness.

David I agree with you about friends in grade school. I think many of use would have been wonderful friends in our early life.

What a special very short story of a clearly special and difficult time Lynn. Those are the sort of memories that mold us as individuals and help us to be more aware of others and their own specialness when shared. Thank you! Smiling
