Can strawberries & asparagus live in harmony next to each other in a dedicated bed? I am wanting a permanent place for them both and thought it would be great to just have them not intermingled, but one to the left and one to the right. What do you think?

I don't see why you couldn't, although you'd want to be sure the asparagus didn't shade the strawberries too much. Seems like they'd look nice. Just remember: they spread!

And keep in mind, strawberries have to be refreshed every few years

Asparagus grows best in a soil that is neutral to alkaline. Strawberries are sweeter when grown in acid soils.

Yes, Rick, I'd read that elsewhere too. Something to keep in mind. I'd also read that asparagus are heavy feeders and don't like to play well with others.
But she IS planning on planting them in separate areas of the same bed, so it may not be an issue? Not sure. I did some looking around, and it sounds like there are a good many gardeners with the same idea.
