mamajack is asking about interest in host plants for a co-op. I am just getting started so I need almost everything, including help in which plants would be best for my area for the butterflies in my area. Thanks.

Don't know what this guy is, besides beautiful.

Cool, a Red-Spotted Purple! Got any kind of cherry-type trees around anywhere? They also can use willows, I think.

Okay, I'll bring it. We'll just have to wait and see if this site is still going tomorrow. All is in the hands of the lawyers now, I guess. Would be nice if we get at least a reprieve.

Ken....I would think you would have about the same butterflies that we do in DFW, so look at the Dallas Co. Lep. Soc. website. www.dallasbutterflies.com
Over to the left is a link called "butterfly gardening" and Dale has a huge list of butterflies and what their host plants are. It is a great site.
