Time to Winter Sow Your Seeds

Have you tried winter sowing vegetable and ornamental plant seeds? If not, give it a try this winter. Many seeds, including tomato seeds and your favorite perennial seeds, do unbelievably well using this method.

Ok I have never winter sewn any seeds. But, I can not get poppies to grow and they are So Beautiful.
Do you think they will work ? I am in zone 6b

Yes they will work. Just follow the Winter Sow directions.
Don't forget to take photos once they start growing.

Shannon: I also had bad luck with poppies until I tried winter sowing and they did beautifully!

Well I tried to start them. BUT, someone forgot to bring in the bags of dirt and now it is frozen to the deck Whistling and solid inside the bag .. I am going to HomeDepot this weekend to get a small bag of dirt to try again Whistling
