I have had Labrador Retrievers for years I I absolutely love their personalities. Goldens are very similar. I love that they play fetch and like to play in the water...plus their general friendliness and good natures! Getting them through the first 2-3 years of puppyhood is a challenge but well worth it! I am jealous!!! Enjoy your time with Buddy! nodding

Marilyn, Buddy is our 4th golden. My husband chose the breed for our son, family dog plus we live on the river. Even though they tend to dig(NOT in the flower beds)they are respectful of garden paths. Easy learners and full of love. I'm going to give him the job of watching the mother bulb! Smiling

One of the kindest, sweetest dogs I ever had was a Golden. She barked about 5 times in her life and it scared her each time. The first time she went swimming at about 8 months... my ex threw her into the lake from a boat, and she started sinking.... couldn't figure out the back feet at first.. He had to haul her out of the water, which wasn't easy. He was an idiot... the dog was lovely, and eventually figured out the back feet part of swimming.
The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that it has never tried to contact us.

Please remove your hats and let's have a moment of silence for "mother bulb" late of Lowndesboro AL. She has no surviving family. She lived in a beautiful bed of iris, lilies, gingers -lingering until her untimely demise. Thank you for your interest in her last days, succumbing to rot. RIP.
