Anthurium needs to be watered and then let it dry out a bit before watering again. Once, or sometimes twice a week is all it needs. Don't let your plant sit in the wet.
They do like humidity, so a tray of pebbles to catch the water and ...oh, what is that word....transpiration? That makes the plant feel at home.
As the leaves die or yellow, but them off to make room for new growth. After flowering the plant really needs to rest a while.
Inside the house the Anthurium likes filtered light from a window - not full sun. The precise amount and type of light makes a difference.
Anthurium like a diluted fertilizer - a diluted dose of Orchid fertilizer is a good choice.
They should not be potted in soil/dirt; plant roots need to breathe...so again, an Orchid potting medium is a good choice.
After that, be patient.
