Always nice to be able to look back and be pleased with the progress made. Also good to be doing planning for the future. Like you I hate to spray with chemical weed killer, but I just can't keep up without it, not so much the garden and beds, but the lawn just wears me out trying to do all the weeding by hand, just impossible.

I don't use anything on the lawns; our neighborhood is not big on perfect lawns. most of us have mowed weeds and some grass *LOL* . We all have wells and nobody wants to put chemicals on the ground and have them leach into the groundwater.

Perfect lawn? Not here, but the weeds would choke out the decent lawn I have if I did not do something with them. Blackberry vines, greenbriar, poison ivy, morning glory, dandylions, rattlesnake weed, chamber bitter, etc. the list goes on and on, would take over the entire neighborhood,

Doesnt mowing control them?

No, mowing spreads them. They may stay short till I am gone for a while then they rise up from the dead and invade like zombies taking over the world.

You need to seriously consider grazing goats *LOL*

I would just love to have some small little goats, I think they are so cute. My wife does not have the same opinion of them. Of course they would not fit into our schedule, always being on call for the kids and grandkids (not goat kids).
