This is a very short daylily, but a Beautiful bloom I think, just had it a short while and I am wanting to see this year how it holds up it's pretty faces.


Can hardly wait to see this one bloom this year, it looks so different in the database photos, just wonder what it will look like here.


One of the fist daylilies I purchased a couple of years ago, very pretty but slow to increase so far.

This one caught my attention when visiting Judy's garden during the 2014 National. At the time I didn't know that it would be a 2015 introduction, just knew I loved it. Blooms were huge and held nicely above the foliage .... arriving in z5 MI in the Spring. ;)

My camera didn't catch the lavender very well so I will include Judy's description.

A 9" pale "blue" lavender bi-tone unusual form (spatulate) with diamond dusted light lavender sepals and a diamond dusted green throat. Scapes are 32" with 4 way branching, 32 buds. Blooms mid-season and reblooms with larger 10" flowers for a long bloom season. Fertile both ways but difficult as a pod parent when the weather is hot. A semi-evergreen from STILL THE ONE X HAWKWOMAN.

height 26in (66cm), bloom 5.5in (14.0cm), season M, Semi-Evergreen, Tetraploid, Fragrant, 20 buds, 4 branches, Pink lavender with yellow eye and gold edge above green throat. (Wild About Sherry × unknown)

This one of John's makes a stunning clump.

Just For Fun. Oldie but goodie!

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis is a very nice pastel pink, nearly a pinkish near white.


Jasmine Rossi is just a little deeper red than Home of the Free - a wonderful, fully saturated red.

Acquired my only 'J' last summer. Here's a photo from the ATP Database. I just hope the plant doesn't have too many of its namesake's questionable character traits

This is on my Want List. I know the judge it is name for

A Reckamp-Klehm "cream gold pink blend" (isn't that the same as a polychrome?); the bud tips are darkly colored, for extra interest.



This one has an older form, but it is a striking color magnet from across the garden. When I first saw it at a nursery, I kept getting drawn back to it from across the nursery; that's why it ended up on my shopping trolley.

(I have one seedling from 'Justin Brent' which has similarly attractive color, but with a small deep green throat blending into a wider and more starburst-y yellow pattern, and with recurved sepals and pinched petals. I would love to get some rebloom and ruffling on that seedling, and maybe some wider tepals, but it has been a reluctant pod parent. Both parents are registered rebloomers, and the other parent has rebloomed for certain in an older garden with less shade, so maybe my problem is with the seedling's shady location. Hmmm.)
