And just because I got curious, the "peregrinum," part of Tropaeolum peregrinum is Latin for "traveler." Heh, so it's a traveling Nasturtium.

I got my new seeds yesterday! I have a few soaking. I'm really liking the looks of the little one that sprouted; definitely worth pursuing!

I most definitely will! Since these are (supposedly) fresh seeds, I'm tempted to try just sticking some in a pot with no special treatment and see what happens.

No and I'm rather annoyed...expected delivery was supposed to be Friday...last update was that they were in Portland Oregon on Friday

Still no seeds

I called the USPS 800 number and the wait was over 30 minutes...too warm today to be inside...if they aren't here by tomorrow I'll call again.

I see why I got mine so much sooner. They were shipped from Oregon and I live in Washington. Actually, it's surprising that it took as long as it did! I generally get packages from California in 3 days.

Joseph it doesn't make tubers that I am aware of. I have plenty of seeds if you would like to give it a try

Oh, great! Another volunteer to try to figure out how to grow these things!

I put a few into potting soil without doing anything else, just for the heck of it, and another few I gently scarified and soaked overnight in water and H2O2. But it's only been a a few days. The most recent package said germination in 7 to 14 days.

One site I looked at said that they want between 55 and 70 degrees. So maybe 70 is the upper limit for germination?
