Which makes this a very sturdy, well built and long lasting contraption. Ours was built in 2001. About three years ago, I think, I had it reglazed and cleaned on the outside by Florian, it still looks truly great and the ceiling is nice and tight.

I had all those figures in two columns, but ATP changed it to a difficult-to-understand format. I don't know how to get it to show the way I published it.

That's one reason I paid extra bucks for the Florian, Ursula. There is nothing like a satisfied customer. Hurray!

Tell me how Florian re-glazes glass on site.

The fellow simply removed some of the glazing, I had pointed to some minor leaks in the ceiling and he replaced that with new strips of this glazing. Most of it was so tight that he left it alone.

I had it in my head that they re-coated the glass itself with some sort of "glaze". I guess you mean they re-did the (putty/caulk) glaze between the glass and the framework, huh? Did you take pictures of before and after?

Yes, he replaced the caulking of sorts. No pictures, except some pictures exist perhaps somewhere on a my old laptop (which has a Black Screen and doesn't start up easily) of a young fellow standing on top of the greenhouse.

The crew were here today tweaking all the concrete framing and putting up the beaded board. I have been promised, not just a hint, mind you, that the concrete pumper will be here in the morning. I won't hold my breath, since I have been waiting for nearly three weeks for the concrete to be done. I am a bit more hopeful that we can begin to move more rapidly. Concrete is necessary to make big moves in the columns, beams, trim, and of course the Florian glass structure.

Sounds promising, Ken! Just remember pouring concrete is weather related, but you don't seem to be getting all that liquid gold that Fla. is getting.

I told you I wouldn't hold my breath for the concrete to get poured. I got a call at 7:00 AM telling me the concrete pumper truck broke down again and that the concrete company was sending a pumper out of GA this AM. IF the pumper gets here by mid-afternoon, they will pour the concrete. Otherwise, it will be tomorrow AM. Again, no breath-holding. Sighing! I guess the silver-lining is that the concrete company is deducting $300 from the bill for our "inconvenience" (twice). That $300 will pay for the potting cabinet and sink. Hurray!

We are up to our eyeballs in concrete. The pumper has finished (two concrete trucks of concrete) and the finishers are doing their magic. I don't know how they not only get everything level but also with the taper of 1/4" per 4'. It is interesting watching all this though.

As I recall from when they poured the floor of our shop, you actually want to keep it damp for a few days at least, while it cures. So some rain might not be a bad thing for the new concrete. Or for Ken, not having to hose it down.

Hurray! for progress, Ken. We want pictures!

Nothing pretty to show, but here's the progress so far at 5:30 PM. There is still concrete finish work to be done but the concrete finishers have disappeared. Sighing!
