I'm with ya Betty. Location location location Had it buried among other plants it's first year, didn't bloom the second, and gave it a much better spot last year. One third of an acre can be tough on maximizing performance! Right now, Polston has the magic touch when it comes to striking dips!

Why is there not a complete alphabetical listing of daylilies? I'm only seeing "Show us your D's" and "Show us your K's),

These threads were from January 2015. There is a complete alphabetical listing, you just have to hunt for them.

I was totally thrown off by the postings of the alphabetical listings, seems as if someone posted on an old thread then it just snowballed.

You know, it's stuff like this that makes people get less interested in this site. What not start over? I'm not posting as much as before because this is just crap.

So then...start over rather than tossing complaints around. Or, at least, be more specific as to what you find to be 'crap'. I'm not quite sure what has you frustrated.

Might not be a bad idea to have an alphabetical listing for 2016 since a lot of people have more than likely acquired more daylilies in a year's time. Maybe the threads could be put in a special sticky folder or something so that they would always be available for viewing like we did for the "Daylilies of the Day" archive link.

I'm not sure what has you frustrated either Shrug!
These are not dated threads as in Daylily Alphabet 2015....show us your "K's". They are simply Daylily Alphabet threads and can be "bumped" back up into discussion whenever someone makes a new post to the thread. This allows for a continuation of the discussion on the topic and also keeps all the information in one thread. Plus, new members have an opportunity to see what was posted previously. Any thread can be moved up by simply making a post to that thread.

I'm surprised Becky that you don't understand the reason for continuation of discussion in a thread...that is exactly how the Daylily of the Day threads work too.

Daylily-alphabet-threads I find very interesting because pictures get posted of cultivars that normally do not come to one's attention.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
