I never saw ONE in Massachusetts in the decades I lived there.
When we moved here I was shocked to see the giant creatures on my front porch at night looking for a meal near the lights.

I've had the smaller ones--- the 2" & even maybe 3" ones but nothing so large as these big green monsters who are as fat as can be. Lynn, you can keep them up in the Willamette Valley & if I find any I'll be sure to send them overnight express to you! Now, we call walking sticks those light brown/tannish skinny things & they have small bodies. They are cool & welcome at my house anytime.

I read here that Walking sticks are a different species and are vegetarian unlike the carnivorous PM! Did not know this...
