I'm glad that more people are showing the medians. SDB 'Giggles & Grins' is my G. Actually I have lost it & need to replace. Will have to call on Carol Coleman, the hybridizer cirisonpond.

I love Grace Upon Grace, I have it but it hasn't bloomed yet. Hoping it does this spring.

I don't have Giggles and Grins, Lucy, but it sounds like a cute little guy.

Leslie, I'll send you some Gypsy Queen this summer. The few I'm keeping will go to an area where there are other beige/wine colors, and near some Red Dragon Periscaria and burgundy leaved Heuchera. She's homely in her current home because everything around her is really bright and gaudy.

So many beauties today! Keep 'em coming!

Earlier a MTB and some other intermediates were posted, I'm really loving those. MTBs have the qualities I love about both heirlooms and moderns!

I again struggled to pare the list down to one. Even with Tom's "Sunday Double" caveat, it was tough. The winners are:

Gypsy Lord 2006 Keppel TB

This could be this years "Dykes Medal Winner"

Glowing Smile 2001 Hager TB

My second choice today would have to be Gitano:

This is a Keppel Iris from 2007. It grows on the north side of my house, with only morning and late afternoon sun, and still manages to increase and bloom. Must be a very robust cultivar!!

Hope my Glowing Smile blooms this year! I have it planted in the side garden, where the colors were more carefully laid out. Unlike the best intentions of my other gardens! It is between High Class and Quaker Lady with Calculated Grace in front. (Sounds like a lot from your garden Greg Whistling ).

There are so many new iris I am seeing in this alphabet! Wow.

My brain is on overload! You guys have posted so many beautiful irises!

Barbara, please be sure to add your photos to the database! The one photo that's there just doesn't do it justice!

Belated Happy Birthday Brad! I hope you are having a great time in Hawaii (and if you are back I hope you have some great memories and great pictures to enjoy!)

Glatiatrix, Gingerbread Man, Grateful Red, Gypsy Geena, ...and so many more! GGGGGorgeous! Rolling my eyes.

Most of my G's are new or didn't bloom their first year...but since we get to share two....

I love Gingerbread Trim!! I will add my second 'G' iris. It was a toss up between Gold Canary and Gnu Rayz. GR is my favorite and a short IB but I have posted it on some of these threads this summer/fall so I guess I will go with

MDB Gold Canary

This class is the earliest and smallest bearded iris. It blooms early and really brings a bright spot of sunshine to the garden when it is still really cool weather.
