I meant the photos of the leaves weren't macro enough. Didn't make myself clear.

Yep, scarlet flax. It is a show stopper and will reseed itself every year. I planted that same mix and the flax is one of my favorites.

Now where did you find that Sue? I thought I had posted some photos of close up leaves on the snaps but when I went looking couldn't find them.

Here is a picture of the scarlet flax starting to come out already.

Difficult for me to tell, Audrey. Thinking I would post another photograph when some of them are more developed. Get a better idea of branching and height, maybe?

Saw one that is more developed than the others I have seen. Photographs are blurry--it was windy and cold this afternoon --but you can see the branching and more foliage development. Still only 8-10 inches high.

I just did a search in the database for snapdragon, because I couldn't remember the exact spelling for the Latin name, and the generic entry is always on top.

That sounds like a beautiful wildflower mix. I vote for snapdragon too.

Hi, porkpal. First time for me to broadcast a mix like that, eager to see what happens in Spring. Bought a packet of Alamo Fire maroon 'bluebonnets' and hoping at least some of those come up, too.
