I've been meaning to post to this thread and got sidetracked with the alphabet threads. Pink is one of my favorite colors for daylilies, there are some great ones already posted here!

A clear rose violet with a watermark. Has a real nice plant and good branching.

Wide petals tightly pleated deep in the throat.

Ruffled with a watermark.

This is a really fun pink. By fun I mean it has a lot going on, large yellow pleated and applique throat, light crepe texture and a yellow ruffled edge. Makes a pretty clump!

Love Moment of Transcendence and Dolly's Lipstick. I want more edges but I'm not sure how well they will perform here. I have Edna Selman which is fantastic, admired by all who visit. There are a couple of people I buy from that I trust to have trialled plants in UK, otherwise you never know how they will do.

Everyone's pinks are so pretty!

Julie, Flamingo Flambeau certainly looks like it is a standout in the garden Thumbs up

Really love those seedlings too, Debra and Ken. I would be interested to know what the crosses you used also.

Seminole Wind is my favorite pink. I don't have many pinks and am surprised, as much as I like them!

Hilary, what are the growing conditions there that might make it difficult for daylilies to do well?

I was a big fan of JOSIE this year. Nice soft pink with a subtle eye.

Debra in the South West of England we get a lot of rain and often not a lot of sun. Some of the patterned daylilies don't like this and the patterns are not clear. Some don't open properly (Edge of Darkness has never had a decent bloom on it so it's going on the compost heap). Coloured edges often don't show here and teeth only appear if we have a long hot spell at the right time (we have only had one summer in the past 8 years when we have had prolonged sunshine).

I haven't got rid of these 2 yet but I only have a small garden so every plant has to perform well as there are lots of daylilies out there to choose from.

Challenges, indeed, Hilary. Be interested in knowing more of the ones that do well for you. Maybe an independent thread? Pacific Northwest growers, here, may have similar growing conditions and you could exchange ideas on which cultivars do best?

Is 'Lilting Belle' considered pink? It was the only one I grew that struck me as pink. It does have a hint of lavender which was more pronounced on some days, but usually seemed more pink. May have looked that way by the other daylilies blooming nearby. Pink may represent a hole in my wish list that needs to be plugged.
