We're restarting this thread because my message at 10:30 last night caused the thread to be a last-week thread rather than a this-week thread. Sorry for the confusion!!

No worries. I would like to make a request of all the folks who posted their M irises on the other thread please repost them here. My M for today is

Making Eyes

This one blooms in March and is taking over one of my clumps of Jewel Baby. I hate when they do that because I can only divide as they bloom. I love this little guy.
I love my garden.... and Jesus, and coffee, and naps.......

Matt McNames is my pick.

Hard color for my digital point and shoot to capture. I had to get underneath it and use a flash, otherwise it looks more blue... like this

All such good choices! We have a purple blue color scheme going on here.

Well I am going to break it up! Of mine that have bloomed (Next year will be much harder!), I am going with an older variety that I really love.

Michigan Pride:

I love that Michigan Pride, Leslie. Can't tell ya how many times it's been on my order list -- then bumped for something else that appealed a little bit more. But MP is gorgeous -- and I'm gonna fix this, this year!!

Ken -- I had Matt McNames, and lost it. Rhizome rotted before I ever saw it bloom. It sure is a pretty thing!

Debra -- you're gonna have to control yourself, honey. Otherwise, everyone will jump on your bandwagon and pretty soon each post will be like a page long!!! Rolling on the floor laughing I sure love your choices though.............. Lovey dubby

That's a cutie pie, Bonnie!!

Celia -- those who don't have an Iris in the current letter group can pick one that they would LIKE to have. Join the fun!! Smiling

Ken - I got it at first because I am from Michigan. It is a great grower, but since it is older it is getting harder to find. I keep thinking I should pick up another one just in case, and know I should soon.

I wonder if Matt McNames grows better in a colder climate because it grow like crazy here. I just split it up last year and made a big clump out of it... if all goes well, I should have some extra.

But the good news is, we had the top 3 busiest threads last week, and 4 pictures in the most popular photos, with Brad's pic at the top! Nice going. Hurray!

Brad, Magical is exactly that, what a flower, and it's good parent too!
