I don't have that many roses blooming right now, but my yard if full of promise after 7 straight days of rain. My pond area looks like a jungle now! And, even on of the roses I thought I had lost is blooming! I hadn't literally seen it alive since mid June.. and now it has a big beautiful (if faded) blossom on it! Yay! The weeds are outrageous.. some of them are already over a foot tall, and they weren't there this time last week! So I know what I'm doing this Sunday Thumbs down Thumbs down Thumbs down

Anyways, I was able to snap only 2 plants that had decent blooms on them after I went through & deadheaded EVERYONE. Took over an hour!

Isn't English Perfume magical? I love that rose! All of your roses look so healthy, Toni, as usual.

Zuzu - LOL, when they're growing!!! I've been worried about possibly developing blackspot with all the rain and humidity (over 30% this past 2 weeks), but only Austrian Copper has any BS on it, and that one develops blackspot even when there's snow on the ground!

My "Double Feature" was actually Double Delight, so Burling sent me a new Double Feature. got it yesterday & planted it.. and now it's raining. Yay for monsoon!

Yay! I love those rains that come right after I plant something.

You will love Double Feature to pieces. It's one of my favorite roses and I was really worried that it would never be available again when Sequoia Nursery shut its doors. I'm so glad Burling rescued so many of that nursery's roses.

Isn't Austrian Copper the rose that passed black spot on to all the others? I think black spot didn't exist before Austrian Copper.

Well, AC is pretty far away from everyone else.. about 7-8' from the closest rose (Heirloom). But I just planted my baby Moje Hamarberg about 4' from it.. should I move Moje Hamarberg?

I don't know that it spreads that readily from bush to bush. I just remember reading that black spot started with Austrian Copper, although I don't remember how reliable the source was.

30% doesn't count as humidity around here!

If I plant my new roses will it make it rain?

I love your Magic Carosel - perfect!

30% humidity is high for you??? Wow. It rarely gets below 50% here.

It has been 90-100% here. Temperatures have been over 100 also. It is not usually this hot, but typically this humid in July.

Your roses and rose foliage look fantastic! I especially like English Perfume. Is it fragrant?

Andi - English Perfume smells like heaven. It's wonderful. Our average humidity here is between 10-20%.. usually around 16% is normal. Below 10% it's extremely dry. We're high desert plains here.

I have been watering twice daily. Luckily, I am not charged by the gallon for water usage. I finally have some tomatoes growing this year, I am not going to lose them now!!!

My roses are sending up new canes and blooming. They don't mind the heat as long as they get enough water.
