Brenda that is a geranium (cranesbill) that I grew from seed in the first pic. It was supposed to be Rozanne but it doesn't have the lighter centre that Rozanne has. It's a solid. More shady flowers.

another moss phlox with 'Gold Flame' spirea in the background. 'Gold flame' does well in part shade but needs some sun to keep it's goldy colour.

I luv how some of the columbines change colours. These are from the same parent.

Gorgeous pictures, Dahlia, I envy your shade. Well, not exactly true, I envy your cool. I have lots of shade, but the temps are so hot for certain plants.

My columbines, all from the same plant, come in a multitude of colors, too.

Okay, note to self: need to get moss flox, pulmonariea 'rasberry splash', more coleus... and I need to get successful with lily of the valley! DN, isn't it late for lily of the valley to still be blooming? My mom grew tons of it at their previous house, I've only tried once and failed... but it truly is one of my very favorites. Best time to plant??

Beautiful, everyone!

Not sure when to plant LOV but it spreads like mad and is really hard to thin or controle. Give it a space where nothing else will grow. I love the bokays in spring, smell is wonderful.

I'm seeing lots of pretty things to add to my shade gardens! Not sure it that's good or bad.

These are short lilies Tiny Snowflake.
They are at the edge of a part shade area and get just enough sun to look great.

This property is hard to plant The lot lines and borderlines are not straight and there must have been a sale on evergreens when they landscaped this development 20 years ago.

Brenda, I know they sell the LOV pips at the store in early spring here. But just yesterday I transplanted my LOV (had it potted) into the woodland garden....hope it does well.

Thanks, Tina. I bought some of those from Walmart a couple of years ago and got nothing... however I have had good luck with most of their other bulbs/pips/rhizomes, etc. Good luck with your transplant!

On a really windy day the cattails sway in the wind! It is pretty cool, but I didn't make it, just paid for it!
