As I'm sure you know, we are celebrating our gardens this year on ATP!

In a few weeks (3, to be exact), we will be celebrating Winter Interest Week.

I'm looking for a few article to help us celebrate our gardens in winter.
What elements in your garden give interest when everything else dies back? Hard scapes, evergreens, garden art, the list goes on!

So, cozy up with your keyboard and a warm drink and tell me all about winter interest in your garden Big Grin

We are fortunate to live in a climate where NOT everything dies back! We have stunning flowering trees and shrubs this time of year. I could write something about that? Or is that defeating the purpose of the topic?

I've come to love my winterscape. There is something Dr Suessish with the dark winterbitten plants and dried out grasses against the white snow. And of course the naked trees.

Some kind of viburnum

Even the mums look cool. Someone said they look like little hula skirts!

And anaphalis blooms mature to this

And finally I have a red twig dogwood!

@Dutchlady1

Hetty, Yeah, our winter interest here in Florida is still beautiful blooms! I must admit that I do see beauty in the frozen winter gardens of the north too ... but I am glad I live here! Green Grin!

Case in point is @jvdubb Jennifer's beautiful garden shots in her above photos! Lovey dubby

Could you create a condensed version with just the post containing photos? Then you could add a lead in paragraph and post as an article.

Thanks Chris and Chelle!

Jennifer- I'd love an article by you as well. I often approach one or two specific people about writing an article, then put out an "all-call" for the remainders. Each day of the celebration week needs an article Thumbs up

I'll work something up this weekend and submit it.

I told Trish that winter was really interesting to me - that whole circle of life thing - but that I was having a hard time coming up with a "thesis"...but I'm getting there.
