Finally got some down time Smiling and wanted to share some of the pictures from the different gardens I visited this spring in Oregon and California. Thought I would start out with some landscape pictures for those that have never visited so you can get a idea of what it looked like standing in the fields and walking the gardens and then some of my favorite's from each place and seedlings Big Grin

Gorgeous pictures Brad -- thanks for sharing them.

Question -- are people allowed to walk down the *aisles* of Irises in the growing fields?

Are these all at Schreiner's? Would love to know which places are in each picture. I used to live in Washington so these pics make me want to go back....
Impressive shots as always, BTW.

Thanks Guys Glad you like the pictures. I enjoyed everyone of the gardens we visited this year especially after the rough spring I had at home it helped get my Iris fix for the season Big Grin

Donald.. I had not noticed that but your right Big Grin think it was because I was always the first one to arrive in the morning Smiling and usually the last to leave, tried to spend as much time as possible walking the gardens it is good feeling to get lost in a Iris field.

Tom.. 10 degrees Thumbs down Crying It was 57 in Iowa Weds was hoping we could keep those temps through out February after that March is a breeze.

MaryAnn.. I think so but most of the time very few people in the fields other than there seedling field which are getting worked a lot during bloom season. I enjoy walking the fields more than the display gardens because I have them all to myself the display gardens are always packed with photgraphers and people.

Leslie... the Pictures 7 & 8 are from Napa Gardens..9 & 10 are Superstition.. 11 12 13 14.. are Mid America the rest are Schreiner's in there display gardens or Fields. It would be a good year to go back with the convention this spring you will see a lot of plants in 2 year clumps it should be impressive.

I thought it was, too, until I saw the tail. Lol

Beautiful places! Shriener's is the only one I've been to. I have a DIL who lives just a few miles from there and I visit her (and them!) regularly.

I thought it was two people too. *Blush*

Thanks for the identifications Brad. Wow, I love Napa's setting, nestled between the hills. I had thought of going during the convention time, but decided it may be crazy busy. Think I will go next year. Want to go at a time when I can catch some of the Japanese iris blooming at Mt. Pleasant Iris Farms too. I REALLY like Harris' Japanese creations.

It's funny... I guessed all the gardens correctly before you wrote them down... I guess I've looked at a *few* pictures over the years... The lupines are a giveaway for Schreiner's, as are the enormous fields. I've seen enough of Rick Tasco's on line to recognize his planting method, as well as the background fence. Napa, I hadn't seen many pictures of their fields, but knowing where they are, the topography looked right. Mid-America, I'd heard that they had a lot of interesting trees and shrubs in addition to their Iris. All just gorgeous in their own right.

Now we need to see Keppel's and Ghios and...??

Thanks so much for posting these.
