In the meantime, loved Barbara's second *S* Iris -- Supreme Sultan! -- posted last night.

And congratulations to Tom whose Private Dan/Don thread and the Companion Thread were second and third in competition. I think the Iris forum had as many posts in these three threads as all the other forums combined! I gotta go and see if I'm right about that!

Omigosh -- our top 3 threads combined contained 541 posts. All the other top threads combined contained 200 posts!! Our Alphabet thread, all by itself, was almost double all other threads combined!!

Way to go, Iris Addicts!!!

Oh -- and since I hurried to get Part 4 going, I only posted one picture of Trade Secret. I'd like to post a clump shot too!

That's really a cool Iris, Celia -- that white horn against the dark purple fall really stands out!!

Nice one Arlyn -- love the blend of colors on the fall. And wouldja look at that beard!!

Tracy's Sunshine. Got it for the name to go in the Memorial bed for my niece Crystal and step-nephew Tracy. From the vendor photograph, didn't think I would like it all that much...then it bloomed.

Wow...Trade Secret is a real beauty and I love those horns on TLB. Gotta love that beard on Talisman.
Planted this one last summer...hoping to see it bloom this year.

I love it Debra, seems I'm drawn to any with a combo of white, yellow, and purple- they seem to shine in the garden.

I only have a couple of new Ts, and Tropical Passion is the one I'm most excited to see bloom.

I really like Trade Secret, Mary Ann. For my 'T' iris I will have to go with one that is a reliable bloomer and re-bloomer, and is also just a beautiful little iris.

MDB Trimmed Velvet


Someone handed me a little rhizome of this iris at a plant exchange in April several years ago. I planted it and it bloomed that fall and has never missed a bloom time since. The only complaint possible is that it is not a fast increaser. However, maybe that is just in my area.

Look at that little beauty -- it really does look like velvet!!

and the little rim around the falls matching the standards is the 'trimmed' part.

Oh my....seeing all thes MDB's reminds me that I really need help with those this year.

Help Ken? with growing, getting, stop getting, loving..... ??? We are all in such need of help! LOL
