Look at the size of this seedling! It is Ipomoea sepacuitensis, a tropical species. It measures about 9 cms from tip to tip across the cotyledons.

Here is a second seedling. I started out with 2 seeds, thinking I would not germinate due to their age. Surprise, I got 100% germination in 6+ year old seeds!

Joseph I've found that MG seeds have over a decade of shelf life if stored properly. They are hard coat seeds!

First seedling is starting to stretch out fast. I need to give it its final growing pot and substantial trellis this weekend.

There is a light patch on the first leaf it isn't present on subsequent leaves.

I potted the plant in a larger container today. I hope I can contain its growth until I can move it outdoors and onto a larger trellis.

They are growing slow and steady.

I wonder when they will make flowers...I hope it isn't years from now.
