My daffodils are pushing buds. You know, I was like you this year, Rita, I had a crate full of daffodils to plant that i had to dig up from the farm earlier last spring. but just daffodils, not all those other beautiful bulbs you planted! It won't be long and you'll be posting pictures for us to enjoy.

I took last fall off and did not buy or plant a single bulb. I was saying no bulbs for me in 2014 from early spring. But people were saying I would cave in and change my mind but I didn't. And I was so glad not to have all that work of digging and planting this fall.

This spring will give me a chance to assess and see what comes up again. I planted lots of returning type bulbs so really I should have a beautiful spring bulb display even though I didn't plant last fall.

It really is too much hard work to do all that planting. I am getting too old for so much work. But when those bulbs come up in spring and bloom it really is all worth it.

Lily has kept me very busy this year. She has turned out to be a very good companion and has kept me busy taking her for long exercise walks whenever the weather allows. By the time I return from our 3 miles walks I no longer had much energy to do much gardening.
