I don't either, just see posts on facebook about twitter. I'm doing well to do any sort of social media, facebook and this site are enough for me.

LOL!! I think this is *maybe?* an indicator of our relative age, Neal. The kids seem to handle it all just fine............... Whistling

I still have difficulty with some aspects of Facebook! Shrug!

Oh yeah, my formative years were the 80s- it took me years to finally accept I should have a cell phone, and then a few more before I'd even text! LOL

What's a Cell Phone??? Hilarious! Hilarious! Is there a charge for Twitter? or is it a freebee?

I think so too. I have a Facebook acct. and don't use it much. It did come in handy when my DD lost her cell and I didn't hear from her for a few days. I posted on her page for someone to please contact her and have her call me. She did within hours. It was quite a relief.

There are real advantages to the technical age that we live in, for sure. Also -- some very serious disadvantages. I'm glad Facebook got the job done, Celia!!

As you said, social networks have their advantages, but we got by just fine without having to text while driving, tweet every little action, snapchat our breakfast and blog our dirty laundry.

And everything is dumbed down to make it so mundane...... for instance "heading out for work", "made it, ready for the day", "boss just came in, nothing new, lol", "lunching at XYZ today, yummy!", "back to the grind"....... OMG, what a lot of boring stuff!

If I were going to tweet something it would be more like "heading out for work at the secret government germ factory", "made it again using my Paul McCartney disguise", "boss came in, I know he is an alien. My co-workers want to dissect him but I have been holding them off", "lunching at XYZ today, found four fingers in my soup, tried to complain but the man behind the counter holding his hand was screaming to loud", "back to the grind but I cant find the boss, co-workers acting shifty.....
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?

We don't text. Cell phone is for emergencies & the fact 'I want to be picked up at Dr.'s office 7 all pay phones are gone. Teen age years were the 50s so you are not so old, Neal. I can do this because I learned to type in high school.

I'm so glad I took typing in high school. My employer hunts and pecks, it's almost painful watching her try to type! LOL

I took two years of keyboarding in HS. It was the best thing I ever did. I made bunch of money typing term papers for other kids who couldn't type! I used to be faster then I am now though.

Mine would be Four Oclock's. i love the look and the humming birds loved them. But they started coming up in all my beds on that side of the house. I dug and dug for three years to eliminate them. hopefully none will come back this year. Now that being said, if I can find a place they will grow in the back fence/tree line i would let them.

off topic, and an old thread, -- but my first car was a 1970 Challenger -- ooooh how I loved that car! --- loved it so much I wrecked it, trying to outrun a Chippie at the time. Ah, the vagaries (read stupidity) of youth .... Rolling on the floor laughing
the below isn't a actual photograph, but mine was very, very similar
