Can you ask your friend for more photos showing the whole plant and leaves Kaleem?

Also, ask if the plant is a native plant or one which was bought.

The photo reminded me of Helleborus buds ... don't ask me why because I don't know a thing about Helleborus since they don't grow in my area and I've only seen them once in my lifetime. I just remember seeing Helleborus years ago when I was visiting my sister up north and that's the first thing that came to mind.

It's really not a pattern of color that Fritillaria have. Also, Fritillaria always have six petals. It looks like flower in question has four?

The reason I was asking about Orchids is that these remind me of the unopened flower buds of Cymbidiums. It's just a guess on my part.
