There are some spots that you wouldn't want to use it. Out front by the sidewalk, I thought it would sparkle under some salvias in the strip along the street. Turned out, it fascinated some of the kiddos that walked along the sidewalk. I would find glass on the walk, in the street, and "evidence" that someone had kicked the glass out of the beds. Eventually, had to cover it with mulch.

It will also get into the treads of tennis shoes. If you have hardwood floors, you learn to leave your "garden shoes" out on the patio. In time, the glass gets packed enough that the paths stay put and you don't think about it anymore.

I just spent 20 minutes of my life, that I will never get back, reading through this thread. It was worth it. We were a lot funnier back then "in the old days!"
They still have the glass mulch at the dump (now called Recycle and Reuse Drop Off), but it isn't free anymore. And I forgot why I was looking at the thread. Whistling Oh yes, how to get to the dump!
