After accidentally pulling a seedling out of the soil when trying to "pick it off", and watching the poor thing die after I so tenderly replanted it, I permanently switched to team "leave it be". lol

Leave it be. I have injured or killed seedlings trying to pick them off, but don't remember ever losing one by leaving them on.

I start so many seedlings, that I really do not have time to pick at any of them.

I am on Team Leave It Be...the instructions on some seed packets (Jatropha multifidia for example) say not to pick the seedling cap off, wait until it comes off of its own accord. Maybe there are some seedlings that appreciate a little help, but i trust mother nature to do the right thing at the right time. She knows more than i do about these things.

Although i leave them be, i must admit i do give them little love pats to welcome them to the world, very gently though.

nodding Until last year I was afraid to mess with mine, but those love taps surely do make stronger and healthier plants! Thumbs up

Well, now I have learned from Team Pick It Off more about 'how' to Pick It Off. I just can't bring myself to do it. I can't stand when I do something that hurts my 'babies'.

Kind of OT but I will try to connect it: This morning when I went outside it's more like I'm on Team Leave It Bee. They are heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere! The bees are here. Spring is here for my neck of the woods, the deserty woods that is. I would love it if I could be in every state when spring arrives. That would bee something to see! Hilarious!
