Thanks, Leslie. That's what it sounded like and yes, they gave me an amt. I stayed within the $3.50 they gave.

I'm done ordering. I think.
Already added 50 more irises to my 250 or so already planted!
From 7 or 8 growers.
Just a fraction of what some of you have Hilarious!
But gotta stop somewhere.

I am ordering conservatively this year. A few vendors are not open yet and I am waiting to buy a dozen more. Then I will be working on beds, waiting on iris arrivals and planting my treasures. I am not ordering new introductions as they are too expensive for me to enjoy them. I will wait for the price to drop. This also lets me see how they fare in others gardens before I invest in them.

Smart thinking Bonnie. But you have ordered some really nice little ones this year! It is going to be beautiful when they are all in bloom.

I'm not ready to move into conservative mode... at least not yet! I'm just getting started growing irises...and buying them! I broke down and placed a small order with Burgard's today:

Duplication - Sutton, luminata & rebloomer
Royal Jammies - My first Karanowski
Fruited Plain - a backup since Superstition doesn't know if they will have enough
Grateful Red - I hear it's a good one!! Big Grin
Wedding Night - Every time I see it I wonder why I don't have it. Tom...you pushed me over the edge on this one!

Hm. Thought I had Duplication on a list somewhere. I'll be interested in seeing how it does for you, Marilyn!

Just looked up Duplication and it's a beauty, indeed. And a luminata...and it re-blooms!

We order mainly new medians. Have to keep up because of being an iris judge. Hubby just dropped his judgeship as he found it was getting rough.

It's actually Burgard Iris Farm. I made a small order with them last year and got some nice rhizomes...I don't recall what they sent for bonuses but I would order with them again. Their website is acting a little weird for me...at least today. And I'm wondering if they had a rough year and started out with a lot of irises 'sold out' because there are so many marked that way. Either that or they have not finished updating from last year? Anyway I'll add them to the vendor list.

I tried to email them at the contact email they listed on the site and it was returned as undeliverable. Not sure what is going on with them!

I just got a nice email from Catherine Burgard stating she was experiencing problems with the website and would let me know when it was up and running again. No guarantees that Rare Find and Accessible and Picture Book would be available when marked SOLD OUT but it was nice of her to respond so quickly. So we shall see.....

I have seen a black and white garden. While maybe not for everyone, it sure packs a wallop.

Burgard has some really nice iris for $4.00. Whistling

All three are listed as available now, each is $4.00 (a bargin!).
