@Itre Welcome to ATP. You certainly didn't do anything wrong! Gordon was just explaining to Donna how to find your FB page. She was using your screen name instead, and it wasn't working. We are glad you're here! I'm sure you can tell us about your experience with brugs and your other plants. Please keep posting. We enjoy the chance to hear from others about their growing experiences!

Bubbles/Sandi

I'm sure @Gordon will chime in later when he sees this post.

Oh good, Gordon! I didn't want him to think he'd done anything wrong and not come back.

That does sound like heavenly temp for NYC! We've had rain for days. Tomorrow is our last cool day. Then we climb to the 70s for a week. Looks like we'll still have some more cool nights before spring. I hope to open the backyard hoops and let some fresh air in to them tomorrow.

Larry - I missed your name at the end of your original post. Sorry about that.

Donna, I got my first Angel trumpet 40 yrs. ago by smuggling a stick into Miami from South America. In those 40 yrs. I have learned a lot of things about them by trial and error, mostly error. You are to far north to grow in the ground as I do. I live about 100 miles from the Gulf and i mulch mine with a lot of pine straw. I have never lost one. Gordon, I don't see how your sister grows them in the ground in Booneville, Ms. That is about 200 miles north of me. The main thing about Brugs is you can't over water or over feed them. I feed my only osmcote. They are heavy feeders. I learned this from a lady in Covington, La. She has 45 in her yard and is called the Brumansia Lady. I usually keep about 50 cuttings as big as my wrist when i cut back each winter. I did this last year and wound up with buckets of them that no one wanted so I just stuck them in my yard. This yr. I only kept about 12 of the doubles and triples I did root some cuttings from a tree morning glory i got from my friend in Beleze. They close up during the day just like ones on vine, they are my fb page also. I found out what i call redneck gardening, when i cut mine down in the winter and want some extras. I cut a lenght about 2ft and bury in the yard. 90% of the time they will sprout in spring, instant plant. Mine start sprouting at the end of March. Yours don't have enough time to bloom

I have to keep mine in pots over the winter, sometimes I plant a couple in the garden then dig them up and put in pots, a couple of years ago I had medical problems and had to give most of them away but now I am doing so good I want to get some back, I really miss them. I am always facinated of how beautiful they are, and some smells so sweet, so if any of you have extra cuttings for postage or for sale please send me a tree mail.or post in here.

Oh Larry, you are the answer to my prayer! I am so happy. Maybe you can get me started with some lovely cuttings, so exciting! I am going to try to see your pix too. Thank you so much for your kind offer! Thank You!

I have a yellow brug in the ground that has survived for many years, and I am 40-45 minutes north of Booneville Mississippi, but I seldom get blooms from her. She comes up so late thAt she does not get the Y developed I time to bloom I guess. I saved a cutting of her this past fall and this yeah will take that in for the winter and keep it going. Let me know what you have to share with me and what we need to do. Thx
