I do have to worry about it. The spores are in the soil in my neighborhood. So even if I grow it from seed they are likely to succumb

The spores are also airborne, so any plant anywhere can be infected.

I started mine from seed, and they were infected later.

Mine were started from seed but developed the disease long after being planted on ground. No signs yet in balsimina yet. I get hundreds of volunteers every year. By late summer they develop something that looks like powdery mildew and then I yank them.

Hi all,

Back in February, Anne mentioned watering with a systemic fungicide as a preventative or possible cure, and I think that would be worth a try. There are several good systemic fungicides. I have found that Tebuconazole is effective in preventing Powdery Mildew in my indoor zinnias.
