There is already at least one event entry on the Event list that is over with and no longer valid.

Perhaps there ought to be a data field for the event end date in the data entry. That way, listings will automatically drop out when they have expired.

Yes, I've been contemplating that. I didn't want to have an "end date" field since so many events are just for one day, but maybe we're going to have to do that. Then I can simply not show events where the end date is in the past.

That would be good Dave. Love that we can now search by zip code.

Maybe there could be a way to expand on the Calendar of Events. Be able to post photos to the event, comments on your visit to the event? Those maybe could stay in place for others to see what the event was like, especially if it is an annual event?

Events can now have a start and end date. If you have submitted an event in the past, please edit it and add an end date.

I love it!

Maybe you could widen the center column a little, and narrow the Distance column?

The distance column is as small as it can get on my screen. It's less than an inch wide while the other two columns are each a couple inches.

I wondered if the word "Distance" filled it with some font sizes. Understood.

It is a great feature to have!

As soon as I saw the closest event was voer 100 miles form me, I was motivated to go find SOMEthing to add, so that something showed up closer to home.

Same here. I know about a lot of local events (especially at this time of year) and just need to add them.

That can be a daunting task... I just entered a couple of my favorites and will try to search/add more as time allows. Encouraging everyone to take the time to plug in a couple local (for you) events. Great new feature!

Thanks for those events, Deb! Especially the native plants sale in May.

Your welcome, Rick, and thanks for the nut. I just added another one you might like - check out Green Elephant Swap in early March.

Dave, is there a way to easily duplicate an entry, keeping the contact info/address/etc. for things with numerous events and just changing out the description? This one I just entered also hosts 3 other swaps later in the year. I'll await your response to see if there is a more efficient way to add those in.

There is not currently such a way but it can be created. I can visualize a "Clone this event" kind of button that when pressed takes you to the "Add a new event" form with most of the fields already present, copied in from the event.

That would make entry of multiple events from the same host much simpler. I'll wait and see what you come up with -- cloning sounds perfect. Thanks for your usual prompt reply!

I am pleased to announce that you can now post comments to events. When you're viewing an event, scroll to the bottom for the place to post your comment. This is a way to add pictures and additional information about the event in question.
