My wishlist would include:
A way to call up specific posts in a particular thread. For instance, if we were discussing seed-starting, and I wanted to review all the posts on that thread that ONLY RickCorey made, I could do a search or find on THAT thread only, and all of RickCorey's posts would pop up, in the order he posted them!

And THEN, I could actually save them somewhere as a file for future reference!

WOW!

There have been times I have wanted to review only the posts I made in a lengthy thread discussion, without having to scroll through the entire thread... I tip my hat to you.

The Iris Cubit utilizes Pages to provide cultural information as well as a list of Color Variations and Purple Based Foliage bearded Iris. This could be expanded upon. In any event the Pages idea seems useful especially within the plant specific forums.

I have to admit I'm a bit of a list freak.

As a moderator, the ability to merge a thread into another thread. Some members seem to like to start threads for every thought even though we have a discussion thread for each month, where they could post their thoughts. It would be great to be able to move their threads into the main discussion thread. Or, we might have a thread going on a subject, and someone will post another thread on the same subject. Sort of the opposite of being able to split threads.

1. Any way to format text into columns in posts and blogs - like tabs or tables. I know that may be tough, given how many different browsers must hit this site.

2. Seed lists (Have & Want) and other seed trading features. If you are thinking of some rich and new trade-supporting feature, I know that is a BIG wish.

3. Search features: within a forum, spanning several forums, in Tree-Mail, in articles, by name, by date, by keyword ... I like search features.

WANTED/appreciated:
A link for the home page at the top of the page
next to the green tabs for forums, articles & blogs.
Seems odd there's not one there,
just a little one of the bottom of the page. Confused

Also it would be nice if after you post a reply
its goes back to that post...not to page one of the thread.

Oh yah...and email notification of new replies on threads u r watching. Smiling

AND ...hey smilies will only appear after the last word typed.
Like if I wanted to go back in the middle of a paragraph and insert a smilie
it won't go there but will appear after the last word typed. Did this on Cubits too.
Whats up with that? Confused

There is a 'yes' next to your posts with replies on threads you watch. I probably make around 30 posts each day. I wouldn't want 30 emails.

To insert a smilie place curser where you want to insert. Drag curser to highlight all information typed after that point. Hold down your 'Ctrl' button and hit 'c' at the same time. Then delete everything you just hightlighted. Put curser at position you want to insert smilie. Click your smilie. Then hold down your 'Ctrl' button and at same time hit 'v'. I agree it's a pain and it would be great to insert a smilie. I would luv to insert the 'I agree' smilie right now but I don't know how to do all of that on my new tablet yet. Hilarious! Hilarious! I have a Mac, and I always add my smilies after I type a post. I never have any problem adding them anywhere in the post. Either on Cubits or here?

If I want to add a smilie into a post that I already posted, I click the smilie into the "new post" area at the bottom of the thread, to get the type equivalent, then I copy (on a mac that is Command C) it, then I click edit on the the post I want to edit, then insert my mouse pointer and click where I want the smilie and paste (Command V). Works like a charm.

(if you already posted, and you go to edit, the smilies are not available - that is why I came up with the above method)

I use Safari, but have you tried using Firefox? I know that is one of the things Dave always recommends.

You mean adding smilies into the body of the text, like this Confused and then moving on to continue typing the rest of your post, like this Confused ???

Granted, Lovey dubby Dave and Trish have lots on the plate right now, Glare and I think we should just give them a minute or two, and they'll correct this problem... Whistling

Ok, ok.

Just insert the smilie where your curser is, like here, Drooling , then move on to continue typing, like this Thumbs up

If you need to go back and insert a smilie Lovey dubby , simply let it insert itself at the end of your post (where it normally goes,), then highlight it, and drag and drop it where you want it to be in your post.

Be careful, because the smilies do require those additional spaces before and after the colons flanking the smilie definition.

Ciao' I tip my hat to you.

Yep. I just went back and inserted the hearts, and these instructions are good to go! Angel
