Thankfully, the house was spared, and they have wonderful plans for that area!
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

AnnaZ said:Beautiful weather here the last couple days. At least it makes the fire cleanup a little more tolerable. The SU took a load of tin from the building sides and roof to the salvage yard yesterday, we have another loaded up for him to take this morning, and we'll load up the last for him to take this afternoon. That will take care of those piles. Then we will have the boards with nails in that we'll probably saw up for DS#2 to use in his wood burner this summer to heat his hot water. If he doesn't want it, we'll probably load it all up and take it down to our burn pile and torch it. We have all the wood cleaned up that was scattered out except for what is still frozen in all the piles of "charcoal" and soot. I said that probably won't thaw out till the middle of June. LOL Things are looking better than they were. Green Grin!

Anna, you sure are taking it all very well. I would be a wreck about it. You just take care of things need doing!

My husband did enough hand wringing and carrying on for the both of us. He is NOT good in a crisis. I have to be the voice of reason.

Yes, go over on the grumpy thread and read it there. I couldn't deal with putting it all up again over here.

Did anyone see that commercial they are running on TV with the chicken? It is supposed to be a free range chicken and they show the chicken going places and doing things. Walking down a train track, sitting in a boxcar, sitting at a campfire with people, eating at a diner and so forth. Then the farmers sitting on their front porch get a picture on their phone and they say he just keeps on sending pictures.

I would think it is a commercial for chicken as in one of the chicken producers but no, it is a commercial for car insurance!

They missed it with that one cause for the longest time I was sure they were trying to sell a brand of free range chicken! Rolling on the floor laughing
