Roots and stems!

Odtn. Papageno 'Lavender Lady' glad it bloomed even on such a very short stalk.

Woohoo! Finally been able to leash this ever rigid Phal spike...I was so afraid I might break it! I was planning initially to just leave it alone, but it is getting difficult to draw the curtains.

How did you get your Phal. to grow pink roots, Tarev.

I have just come inside for a water break. I've been moving my blooming size orchids from their greenhouses onto the tree shelves.

Pink roots? those are not roots...those are just fuzzy ties

Just pulling your leg, Tarev. They do sort of look like fuzzy, pink roots though.

So the orchids staying inside in bloom this time: Phal Baldan's Kaleidoscope, Zygopetalum ( initially outdoors, but have moved it indoors to enjoy its scent), and the orchid show new addition last Feb, still holding its blooms Dendrobium Roy Tokunaga 'Spots'

I got it from Costco last Oct 2012.

Another shot of Phal Baldan's Kaleidoscope..I am just so happy it is back. The long wait is at times so hard. Phals being such long bloomers, it will keep me company till summer!

Not to be left behind..Hoya shooting star has been busy with its bud formation again on an old peduncle.

This Phal. (Dtps. Luchia 'Pink') has been opening up for six weeks. The last bud just opened a few days ago and all the flowers are on an old stem. That's the reason I don't cut the stems off my Phal. after blooming. It will probably bloom well into summer.

My first year with this type of Latouria dendrobium, and I am liking it a lot. Growing a nice new cane too
