No More Trenching!! -- Tool for Nearly Painless Irrigation Pipe Installation

By evermorelawnless
March 3, 2015

After having installed several PVC-based irrigation systems in my Utah yards, there had to be a better way. There is, and I found it. This article describes a nearly painless way - using a tool that I invented - to install black poly irrigation pipe with little impact to the lawn or gardens. It's been an incredible sweat/labor-saver for me.

Enter Dirtdorphins...and her visions and her boulders and her nursery visits ("um, honey...I'm at XYZ nursery and I have a problem...silence...um, can you bring the van up? I can't fit everything in my #@^%%!&# spacious and roomy and otherwise more-than-adequate hatchback..."), mail-order addiction, plant swapping, and who knows what else I've actually blocked out for the sake of sanity. Long story short (and I mean that), we have at least a dozen new gardens, enough new boulders to sink even the most modern container ships, trees, shrubs, stuff I don't know what is ---- and here's the real deal for me...much less lawn (hence "Evermorelawnless"...and even less this year)

there's a bit of hyperbole there, but I do kind of resemble that *Blush*

That fence-post-handle shovel is my favorite Thumbs up because I haven't broken it yet trying to pry some evil hunk of concrete out of a hole! (I probably left it lying around somewhere obscure in the fall frenzy)

Fabulous invention--the mini-trencher! Whole lot less trauma and drama revamping the irrigation now...when someone puts a garden in the middle of the lawn that doesn't need or want to be watered like the lawn Whistling Hilarious!

No very much hyperbole at all...tho I do have the rescue trailer at the ready for your spring purchases.

Are we going to need to rent a sod cutter again this year? I'm thinking we're going to get a loyalty discount from the rental place.

ha! no, this year I was kind of thinking of going after the Ailanthus thicket so no sod cutter involved but we will still likely get our loyalty discount...
