Growing in my yard, when it died it turned red and was the texture of a deflated balloon!

The above image looks to be "cousin" of Phallus impudicus, named Mutinus caninus. Below links show pictures of both. The common name probably leaps to mind when you see Mutinus caninus. Smiling
