I miss the hibiscus forum and seeing everyone's new blooms.

My Susan Schleuter has been going strong for four years and even bloomed in my office for a year. Still one of my all time favorites.

Primarily a southern facing window. Big Grin

I probably fertilized it on the weekly/weakly routine I use for other things, and I know I kept it trimmed. I had a big blooming brug in the same window, and they both came home when someone else moved in next to me who wanted the window shaded half the day.

In a different office, I once had a passion vine that clung to and covered half the ceiling. There were four people sharing that section and everyone called it the jungle room. Hilarious!

Grey, 5'x8', 4' high walls so I can see all my neighbors. I just happen to have a window on one side. Smiling

Almost brings a tear to my eye. I hated those days. Where I worked you had to have at least 25 years seniority to be anywhere near a window. It was a difficult adjustment but I'll never regret trading a spoiled lifestyle for sunshine and songbirds. Which leads me to the paradise of tropicals. Beautiful hibiscus Paul. Mine went dormant and is first starting to green up. Had beautiful variegated foliage. Doubt that It will grow enough before fall to bloom but we shall see. Here is a pic from last year which didn't bloom until fall. Guess in Florida it would have bloomed all winter.

It does seem to be a benefit of the "senior" in my title. Though, at one place I worked I mentioned in the interview that I'd like to have a window, and they gave me one, much to the surprise of all of the current employees who apparently were working their way up the ladder to one. They used to come by and look at my orchids and ask how I managed to get such a sweet cubicle--right next door to my boss. Thumbs up

I have a few hibiscus plants too but most are not blooming for whatever reason. No idea what the pink giant is that I picture here but the double red is El Capitolio.
