The Hosta Farm is liquidating roses for a company that grew to many tree roses and a few varieties of shrub roses. I bought 2 Double Knock Out tree roses for $28 ea. First ones I have ever bought because they usually cost over $75. If you buy a certain amount they even have a form to name your own price. There is no special code and the deal ends when they sell out I guess. Here is the link they sent me in their newsletter:
I don't know anything about this company, so I can't recommend it outright, but the deal on shrub roses is also impressive. Several great cultivars for $8.50 each. That's a steal if they're grade #1.
I have been buying Hostas from them for the past three or four years and have always been pleased. According to their newsletter and the site these are all grade one roses. Below is a link showing the roses actually being packed and explaining the sizing on tree roses.
If you sign up for their newsletter, you get an instant coupon for $10 off a purchase of $35 or more. I did it, and now I'm ready to place an order. Flat rate shipping of $11.95, regardless of the size of your order.
Well, that was depressing. I wasted all that time signing up for the newsletter and picking out 3 hostas, 3 roses, and a geranium. Went to checkout and got a message that they don't ship to California. Ick!
I almost placed an order for 5 roses, I was ready to hit the submit button and then decided to check our green pages for reviews ... nada. So, Idecided to google to see if I could find out anything about the company ... the first listing on google was the Hosta Farm website, second was "The Scoop on the Hosta Farm" (ratings at DG's Garden Watchdog) ... the negative ratings outnumbered the positives so I've changed my mind about ordering right now.
