Well the good thing about your being delayed bringing the forcers out is now you're really surrounded by blooms! Tweety Bird is particularly appealing to me- love that extra long trumpet!

These giant pots are the last of my forced daffodils for the year. They were purchased during the vendor's 1/2 price end of season sale, thusly, not even potted up till 12-12-14 I think it was. Should produce a notable display and will afterward be translocated into the garden for subsequent blooms in the year's to come. Daffodils survive this relocation after forcing better than any other forced spring blooming bulb.

These containers endured their pre-requisite cold treatment in large totes stored under rugs and wraps in a covered stairwell that leads to basement from the outside. This 'built in' treatment/forcing location is just excellent for my purposes; especially as the dedicated refrigerator tends to fill up fast and an overflow area is often needed. There is one other large pot of last minute daff's obtained, it's a large one of Prototype and it's in the dedicated refrig as in there it's practically naked now. The tote w/ Prototype may not have been secured properly as moisture penetrated and may have contributed to some root rot; not all will be lost but in the refrig they will actually dry out faster. Very rare occurrence, moisture penetration from out there in totes as usually the beauty of using this method to force is one doesn't have to water subjects hardly ever (those in refrig have to be monitored closely due to said refrig's dried air).

Jmorth, you have such a wonderful variety of forced bulbs. Thanks for sharing your beautiful blooms.

I hope your Prototype bulbs will be okay.

Jack, I'd like to know how Weena performs for you after planted. I ordered it in 2013, and oddly only saw 3 blooms from the 5 bulbs the following spring, and then it didn't show at all this year. I don't think I've ever had that happen with a daff, and I noticed they aren't offering it this year. Yours look like they bloomed beautifully!

Golden Echo - diminutive bloom but quite distinct, quite nice, well defined. Creation of Brent and Becky's Bulbs.

I think Golden Echo is going to be among my favorites. This is my 2nd year with it, and it showed excellent increase and a long time in bloom.
