You know you're a hostaholic when you can not resist rescuing and taking home every tiny little reject hosta from landscaping jobs. Also when you will create a new bed to put them in And when you covet thy neighbor's hostas and will ask for divisions...

You know you're a hostaholic when you read stuff like this and identify with it...

...when you start tracking and counting your hostas (mainly so you won't buy it again cause you love that one so much).

You know you're a hostaholic when you get home and find that - despite your list - you already have the hosta you just bought.

I don't think I am but if to mow your lawn is having a strip the mowers width wide through out your whole lawn because of hosta beds count I might be getting close.

Who needs paths?? LOL

You know you're a hostaholic when you don't have room for more Hostas, but you continue to buy them.
You know you're a hostaholic when you realize that pretty soon your number of Hosta may exceed the number of days in a year. I'm not there yet though!

You know you're a hostaholic when:
- You don't even need your mower for the paths because the weed whacker works just fine.
- You bristle when your neighbor asks how many types of hostas you have, then replies "I have that many too!" when you know she only has lancifolia, Ventricosa and undulata.
- You make most of your catalog plant purchases for the following year eight months before the plants will be shipped to your house.
- You refer to pips, scapes and eyes with love in your voice.
- You wage war on slugs and hunt them ferociously at night with a flashlight and sprayer bottle.
- Your "I Dig Hostas" shirt is embarassingly well worn but you still wear it proudly.

- when you do the annual kneel and feel to determine whether they are coming up yet.
- when you count and keep track of the pips that come up each year.
- when your thighs get numb from holding and reading the "Hostapedia"

Ann, I'm glad I am not the only one that do the kneel and feel.

I got caught by my neighbor doing the kneel and feel. I couldn't find Foxfire Bamm Bamm and was getting all worked up on Sunday. She had come around the garage to ask me what the name of one of my conifers in the front of the house is (Picea glauca 'Rainbow's End') and surprised me.

bump - I know some of you have additions now that we are outside enjoying ourselves in the shade.

Guess we are after buying quite a few mini, small & tiny hosta's I moved other plants so I could make a dry river bed with rocks just for the MINI'S, and bought mini lights just for that area!!!!!

I am a "mini" hostaholic and you have just enabled me with your 'min' bed. Mini lights! I'm getting those!

The Mini lights are from Menards and are deck lights that I put on a stick and stuck in the ground. The light also comes down the botton onto the rocks, it is awsome.
