I have one and I love it. Yours does, indeed, look great! Did you have a question?

I don't know the cultivar names, but the one in the first photo should be pink and the one in the second photo should be yellow. They weren't rooted yet, but their fleshy taproots were looking healthy. They were grafted on the taproots. I haven't seen something like that before

You need to plant the plants as deep as possible, burying the grafted tap root below 3-4 inches below soil line so that they do not send up growths which can take over the tree peony.

I know. I have lots of grafted plants(grafted some myself), and i usually just prune away the wild growth. And there might be a chance that i want to have one that's not cultivated, so if a wild branch emerges i will let it grow for one season, and then slowly separate it from the mother.

Sounds like you really know what you're doing, Snarfie! I purchased a Rockii tree peony last year, first experience with the variety. No new growth yet here...

I agree with Liz! You probably are much more knowledgeable than me. I have only a few years experience and I have been learning along the way. Last year I tried grafting tree peonies and they all failed. Sad I think the cold weather must have penetrated the bed and froze the grafts causing them to fail. Not sure.
