There is also an EON marker (metal) co-op.

Colette, you are bad. I ordered 300 markers from the Eon co-op! I wanted to redo all the markers in my yard, I ordered the "yellow green" color, figured that would look nice in the yard.

I placed my order for EON at the Co-op. These are my favorite markers. I needed some of the mini makers for my small and dwarf Hostas.

Terese if you have the Eon markers you can just buy new plates in colors, I think they are like 16 cents each or something reasonable like that. I ordered the yellow green because I want something that blends in better than the plain metal I have now (not Eon, I have a hodge podge) but that I can still read the black print from my label maker.

I haven't bought from them - don't do much plant buying online.

Walters is one of the place where a lot of the local nurseries get their hostas from. They have nice enough stuff.

I love best whatever's in bloom
Well Ken, I may be prejudiced, but I think Walters has fabulous plants. And as Diann says, that's where many of the hostas you buy elsewhere come from anyway. Walters has a huge tissue culture lab, extensive trial gardens and .... as if that's not enough (or what do the commercials say - but wait, there's more), they have CH Falstad and Hans Hansen - two of the biggest names in hostadom - choosing and developing plants.

If I remember right, Blue Ivory was one of theirs or marketed by them.

Thanks for the word up on Walters all. I see they also have a good selection of Hellebores and Heucheras. I love my Hostas but I like a bit of color and Winter flowers also. It would be nice if we could do a co-op on all three.

Thanks Elizabeth.... many of my plates get 'crunched and bent' from the heavy snow... when Wisc got 12' a few yrs back, many of mine got mangled. and mine are the ugly gray/metal ... i usually spray them green.

I still feel that the markers I have are preferable to any of the eon markers albeit somewhat more expensive. Can't be tempted by the Walters co-op as I'm in Canada. Rolling my eyes.
